how To keep icon badge numbers from disappearing after dismissing notification

The only solution I have seen is to use Nova launcher but I am using that in conjunction with Teslaunread. So how can I get around this, it is a big issue.

See if your Note is compatible with Good Lock. If so download it. Once you do that select Quick Star, then Notification Multi-Window, and it's enabled. You can now swipe notifications in your quick panel and select a notification reminder, multi-window or settings. I use it for important message reminders.
