Anyone else annoyed by the absolute lack of spell check accuracy on English UK from the keyboard? How about the key spacing difference? Takes me twice as long to type anything and when i (lower case i remaining case-in-point) check over what ive typed misspellings are not caught and correct word spelling is at times noted as misspelled. Whats the fix?
Hi phumbling , Please do clear cache of the Samsung keyboard app on your phone and enable the predictive text on your phone and verify if it works. Go to settings>>Apps>>Tap the three dots(in the top right corner)>>Show system apps>>Select Samsung Keyboard>>Storage>>Clear cache. Predictive texting is a feature that makes it quicker and easier to send messages by suggesting and changing words as you type. The more you use predictive text, the better it will become at suggesting your most used words and phrases. You can turn predictive text on or off, remove suggested words and to personalize it to suit you. Go to settings>>General management>>Language and input>>On-screen keyboard>>Samsung Keyboard>>Tap Smart typing>>Predictive text>>Activate. You can also find the Auto replace, Auto spell check, Auto capitalize, Auto punctuate and Auto spacing options from the Smart typing menu.
i cleared the cache and turned predictive texting on anf off amd on again and all other options - on amd off and om again. i left the mistakes (this word is spelled correctly and coming up underlined red all misspelling above is not captured).
I'm using SwiftKey & there's options to support multiple languages - With accurate spell check. But if you prefer to use Samsung's keyboard - Ensure that you have English (UK) installed on your device...
Settings - General Management - Languages - Add Language - Three Dot Menu Top Right - All Languages - English & Scroll down to English (UK) and Add it
As you can see in the 2nd Screen Shot - English (UK) is available on my S10+ One UI V2.1 & English (UK) has always been available since at least the S8 series.
i figured out how to add and make uk englisj the defauly but as yiu can see grim this text nithjng is being autocorrected and misspelled words arw not noted and accurately spelled works arw underlined sometimes. also - text jumps to top of messahe in messages.
