Galaxy NoteI have gone through my 5th Note 20 Ultra device in the matter of a month due to all 5 devices having either image retention or permanent burn in the display. I have contacted Samsung and my carrier and both did *bleep*. Samsung said imagine retention is normal for Samsung screens moving forward and isn't classified as defective. I got my 6th device brand new and selling it to whoever like the note series and doesnt care about image retention. For a 2000$ CAD device I certainly due. Will be switching to One Plus.

Galaxy NoteHey OP,
Too bad all these people haven't done their research and simply think you go online and make up screen issues on your phone. I have (had?) a very similar issue. Do you still have the phone? Do you run it in the lower resolution with adaptive refresh rate?
If yes to both of those questions - try putting it in the highest resolution with adaptive off (60hz) - do you see any improvement? How about if you switch it back to lower resolution and high refresh rate, any improvement?
I did those steps and have noticed an improvement, but I've only just now figured this out, so time will tell. I really don't want to take my phone in for a screen replacement since they'll drop the same crappy screen in it and will probably ruin the IP rating on it. Best of luck.
