It's finally here! Canada has received it's long awaited compensation for Note 7 users. Check your emails for one from Samsung, if you purchased a Note 8 and had the Note 7 you'll be eligible for a 200$ MasterCard gift card! Thought it was a scam but another user posted receiving it as well.
This deal is way better then the one in other countries, for once we didn't get shafted so THANK YOU SAMSUNG CANADA! This is incredibly generous 😊
MobileSyrup says that apparently the offer is eligible to anyone who had any Note device and upgrade to the Note 8 but I can't confirm. Basically, it's not just for Note 7 users.
Oh Yeah, one thing to note is that Samsung has a stipulation in their terms and agreement that you must have selected to "Opt-in" to receiving promotional emails prior to October 15th(which is terrible to do but technically they aren't allowed to send anything without having approval from the user by the anti spam laws passed last year) essentially if you aren't opted into receiving emails from Samsung for your Samsung Account, you aren't eligible for the deal.
