Remember my warning though: Decrease your device's resolution to HD+ before the update. Version ETF3 exactly like T-Mobile (as expected) so it's really important you do that.
1GB download. Detailed changelog coming soon.

EDIT-
So, here's what's new. If you've been following OneUI 2.1 news, nothing here will come as a shock to you.
First, the camera was upgraded. No 4K selfie vids but everything else is there, including My Filters, Pro Video and Single Take.
My Files now support network storage.
Quick Share and Music Share are supported.
Call & Text on Other Devices now has a QS Tile.
The Display layout in Settings was changed, now prominently exposing Night Mode settings on top.
The Keyboard was upgraded. Beyond the more rectangular looks, haptic feedback was improved and the layout was improved. New buttons were added on its utility bar, including a translator, a search button and Samsung Pass. Suggestions that do not fit into their space as a single line are now stacked instead of truncated.
The clock picker UI was changed (not an improvement though).
AR Zone was added.
... and probably a bunch of other things I've overlooked. Have fun exploring these new features!

The Messages upgrade was already released in the April update.
This update does not discontinue support for MirrorLink.

can I ask why it was important to switch my setting to HD+. I did the update before reading your post and was not aware that this was a necessary step.

Some users reported major issues with the update if the resolution was not at HD+. As always it's a subset of users that are affected but instead of discovering that you're part of the subset when it's too late, better safe than sorry.

thanks for the quick reply. Is there a link to a description of the issues so I know what to be aware of?

If you've been able to enter your PIN, then everything is fine.
