Notifications during a call

I've noticed that since updating to One UI, I keep getting email, WhatsApp, kik,etc... Notification sounds while I'm on the phone, it's pretty annoying. I've checked the setting in the phone app to make sure that the option to notify during a call is off, but I still get the notifications. Am I missing something?

Have you tried going into the app's themselves?

I've noticed that it's not only text notification. I just created a routine to turn notification sound off when I receive a call, hopefully that will solve the problem.

I would recommend simply to turn call volume up, or put the phone on vibrate/mute. What phone do you have? This has never happened to me, but, I don't really mess around with my phone to do with UI and operating system.

Don't vote for me for President just yet, my Routines setup didn't work, however I did manage a workaround using an app I've been using for awhile called, PhoneProfiles Plus. I created 2 profile, one for incoming calls and one for outgoing calls, in both cases, the profile activates DND during the call and then turns off DND when the call is done, so far so good, no notification sounds while I'm on calls.
