Galaxy NoteBoth of you can try Booting into Recovery and wipe cache, but I don't think that's the answer.
You could also open the Samsung Members app & Click on "Get Help" > Diagnostics > View Tests & Click on "Touch Screen", run the test & see if you get any errors?
Also, if you are using a 3rd party Screen Protector, make sure that it's a high quality one, ie: Whitestone Dome tempered glass & properly installed.
I along with many others, always Factory Reset after any Android version update, and have never experienced any issues.
If you decide to Factory Reset, Backup your device with Smart Switch first.

Galaxy NoteI have the same problem - it's driving me nuts! Has anyone done the factory reset and issue has been fixed? I'm reluctant so just want to gauge success rate before going ahead

Galaxy NoteI had a touch screen issue on a previous device, and yes absolutely a Factory Reset fixed it!
I had a very minor touch screen issue on my S20 Ultra & again, a Factory Reset fixed it completely.
So backup your device with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.. It's worked for me twice!
