Pinterest not saving images properly

Does anyone have an idea why Pinterest is saving images as a .JPG with this weird extension? It will not show up as an image in my gallery.

As far as I know, the software being used by the phone is not recognizing the image extension. I would recommend trying to re-download the image and save it again. Hopefully that should work.

I have been trying to download Pinterest images and they don't seem to download on my phone with the One UI release. Nothing in my gallery.

must be an app issue I guess. Pinterest needs to update their formatting or something.

If you don't have the Pinterest app on your Android phone or tablet, you can still download Pinterest images from the Pinterest website.

Tap the image that you want to download on the website to open it in a closeup view. Tap the "..." menu button to open the pop-up menu and then tap Download Pinterest video and Download image. The image will be saved to your gallery.

You can also use this same technique on a laptop or desktop computer to save images from Pinterest, using your mouse in place of the touchscreen on your phone.
