samsung email frustration

I love using the Samsung email app because of its interface and functionality.  There is this one thing that totally baffles me.  When I try to search for old emails... the app is good until a few weeks and then **bleep**...older emails can not be found.  Even when I manually search by date by scrolling... nothing.  How can I resolve this??

@Keera go to settings by clicking the 4 horizontal lines and then the cog on the top right side, then click on your email account where you can change you email sync period

yes, i have done that and set it to all time. still does not retrieve emails older then say 1 month or so.

hi, yes its turned on. perhaps I am expecting too much or maybe there is not an issue. all I know is samsung email seems to not retrieve all emails... as a backup I go to my imac to find emails and there they are..no issue finding them.

Hi Keera, try using POP3, instead of Exchange ActiveSync. But the drawback is email check every 15 mins, 20 mins...etc. Also, you can store up to 10000 email in POP3 account. Exchange ActiveSync is push email.

I also have the same problem. Those emails older than a few months that I have archived cannot be retieved no matter how I tried. This happens both to my gmail and yahoo email. It can be solved easily just by enabling or reinstalling the google gmail app. Gmails of even older than 10 years reappear. Try it ！

Hi Keera, Please uninstall the app updates and then try again.

As suggested by Tallman, please confirm which Internet message access protocol are you using. Also, please perform a clear cache for the email app.
