Screen off memo not working...

My ability to use screen off memo disappeared on my Note 9.  Popping spen

out does not trigger the memo function 

Can't figure out why but if anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated.

Step 1 go into settings

Step 2 go-to apps

Step 3 in apps locate app Samsung Note 

Step 4 Within this setting locate permission 

Step 5 inside permission check to see what you have not allow 

This will work Since this happen to me and I apply all this in my setting

I was having the issue when I removed the pen, the black screen wouldn't come on to write anything. My issue was solved because I found Samsung Notes was deep sleeping. When I removed the app from deep sleeping, it worked!
