So, i have had a recent issue with my note 8. Sometimes i am not able to recive a picture by text msg. Im just wondering if this has been happening with anyone else?.... It cant be my phone carrier because, i just had a two day battle with xplore mobile an bell. And ended up switched over to fido mobility. And the same issue has come up...
It has happend several times, i have also noticed some glitching with my device. Like, my phone will freeze for a couple of seconds.
This a soft wear problem or a device problem?... My phone is only a few months old. As i just got on june 29/18...
Dies it freeze only with certain apps? Of so the apps aren't optimized for Android. Not lagging for certain apps wipe the cache. As for the pictures...use Google Message
it freezes on anything, sometimes fb, sometimes in the text app. sometimes on my web browser. i shouldnt have to use a third party app in order to recive my pictures... iv never had to use a third party app before....
@Jonathan34... i just dont get them in general. as i stated before.... i know it cant be my carrier, because my original carrier was bell mobility, which handed my contract over to xplore mobility. which that allowed me to break free of my contract from both. an allowing me to switch to fido mobility.
It's not a carrier problem. You don't need to download any apps either. Do a complete factory reset on your Note 8, then check. It should be solved. There's something in your phone that's probably causing this issue.
Hey @timk204, as others have said, try a Wipe Cache Partition to help with the freezing. As for the mms messages, try a factory reset of take it in to a Samsung Service center so they can physically inspect your device and get to the root of the issue. -Jenna
One more suggestion would be to make sure that under settings>connections>mobile networks, you have roaming turned on. I live near Halifax Canada & I'm 2 hours outside of the city, calls are local and free but I'm considered as roaming from where I am. Weird since the calls aren't long distance & I don't get roaming charges but if your device is being seen as roaming from where you are you'll need to turn this on. Check with carrier first if your nervous about unwanted fees. This may be what's stopping you from getting the photos. Just a shot in the dark, good luck 🤞
