USB issue

I have a galaxy note 9 that refuses to connect to a USB stick using the Samsung USB-c to USB type a adapter in the box, the goal is to conne to to the US  stick to transfer files

What happens when you try to connect it?

USB option come up but won't let me switch to other options and sometimes says format USB drive even though when I plug it in on my pc the files are there

Never mind I found out the issue the partition needs to be fat32 or exfat NTFS is not supported
