I just tried recording a video from dark scene to a light scene and it was autofocusing itself. It did take a second when I switched between scenes but seems like it's working
Mine is struggling to catch focus in low lit conditions ( can't actually say low lit, I was shooting ornaments on my Christmas tree with decorative lights on it)
The Auto-focus may be affected by the distance between the device and subjects and therefore the subjects may appear blur and unclear. I suggest you to keep the proper distances between the device and object.
I'm having the same issue with my auto focus on Pro mode trying to take pictures at sunset with moving objects and they are all blurry. I didn't have this problem with the s8 . the camera also doesn't capture all the detail the S8 did.

Please note that if sufficient light is not available during shooting in low (dark) environments, a slight loss of quality may appear. I suggest you enable and use the motion photo feature which allows you to pinpoint which moment you want to preserve as the still frame.
SM-G988W. I didn't have these issues with my Galaxy S8. This camera is supposed to be superior. In my opinion it's inferior it doesn't capture nearly the detail it should for the price I paid.
Hi, I suggest you please try resetting the camera settings by opening Camera application >> Camera settings(Gear Icon) >> Reset Camera Settings and check if the issue got resolved.
the autofocus on the s20ultra is horrible and it's not about restart the setting the issue here is the bigger sensor we all should have a free upgrade with the s21 ultra who have the laser aufocus it's a big mistake from Samsung but never admit it publicly and we should put more money to have the s21 ultra I'm kinda disappointed with Samsung a Big company like that should take care of the loyal customer 😭😭
