Hello All,

After updating to android 10, my Samsung Galaxy S9 started dropping random calls and show no notifications for voice mails.

Also some apps started running very slow.

Anyone else experienced this issue?

I tried rebooting multiple times with no success.

Hi Harmynder, it is recommend to wipe cache partition after Android update.

try the following:

- Turn off your phone
- press and hold the Bixby and volume up buttons, then press and hold the power button
- Release the power button once the phone turns on
- Let go of the the remaining buttons once you see the blue screen with the Android logo

use volume up and down for navigation. choose wipe cache partition. Reboot the phone afterward.

If Wiping Cache didn't resolve the issue - Backup your device with Smart Switch & Factory Reset your device..
I ALWAYS perform a Factory Reset with every Android Version update & have never had any issues.

Hi Harmynder,

As you have performed Wipe cache partition and that didn't resolve the issue. Please Backup your device using a smart switch and remove all the accounts added to the phone and perform Factory Data Reset as mentioned by @Shaggyskunk1.

Note: Factory data reset which deletes complete data from the device. This will restore your smartphone to its original manufacturer settings.

Yeah - You do NOT need to remove any accounts - Performing a Factory Reset will Remove ALL accounts from the device anyway.... ie:"original manufacturer settings" do not include any accounts.. 😉

@Shaggyskunk1 what I mean was if the phone is Factory reset with the Google/Samsung account still signed in, the phone will still ask for those credentials once it turns back on. Therefore it is safer for the accounts to be removed before the factory reset.

I understand but this process should be automated by manufacturer, if users need to perform factory data reset every release then samsung should mention this explicitly on the release notes. also it takes a lot of time and the user needs to setup all email accounts and apps passwords again.
