Samsung will never truly compete with Apple, and one of the biggest reasons is software updates. Apple provides major iOS updates to devices that are 7–8 years old on the same day the update is released for the newest iPhones. In contrast, Samsung offers only 2–4 major Android updates—and even those are delayed. First, Google Pixel devices receive the update, then the latest Samsung series, followed by a slow rollout to 1-year-old models, and then 2-year-old ones. This staggered and delayed approach is outdated and inefficient in today’s fast-paced tech world.

This is a key reason Samsung continues to lag behind Apple, and soon even behind Google. Samsung hasn’t learned from Nokia’s downfall. Despite offering excellent design, features, and innovation, Samsung’s poor update strategy severely affects the resale value of its devices—dropping below 50% within just 6 to 12 months. This places Samsung in the same resale category as many Chinese brands.

Apple’s consistent updates and strong resale value are major reasons why many people prefer iPhones. Even after resale, the buyer still enjoys the latest features, making them willing to pay a premium. Until Samsung changes this strategy, it will continue to fall short, regardless of how good its hardware is.

These first time posters, who don't even have the facts correct..

Yes, Samsung has messed up the One UI V7.0 update.. badly..

This is the first time in several years where the next Android version wasn't released the same year as Google released their new version.

Samsung, like Google is providing 7 Android version updates, same as Google for eligible devices.

Samsung is already working on One UI V8.0, so it'd be great if first time posters would just put a sock in it..

Yes Apple had the bigger market share of Mobile phone sales in the first quarter..

Apple 19%

vs

Samsung 18%

Wow, scary stuff.

Not sure you know what you're talking about. Putting Samsung in the same category as the Chinese brands is wild 😂😂. With that being said, yeah Samsung messes up from time to time but don't act like Apple is perfect. The whole reason why Apple is somewhat decent now is that they're finally implementing the features Samsung has had from time. I've tried Apple a few times and you can even go back on my posts to see me review the Apple eco system. There's way too many frustrations with Apples software to even consider using it and tons of people agree. Your post is your opinion though but most people don't share your opinion.
