I use Samsung Dex with the following setup: USB Hub Desktop speakers hooked up to monitor HDMI out from USB
Prior to recent update, I could choose 'display device' as my audio output choice when using Dex. When I first launch dex, the option is presented as expected, but....
As soon as I use an app (ie Call of Duty, Phone app, etc) the device no longer presents 'Display device' as an audio output choice. Sound is then playing through the phone speakers.
