Galaxy SI've got the same device, and although I don't play games, I have occasionally tested Geek Bench, which stresses the device by running the Bench Tests, but my S23 Ultra has never gotten hot.
You may want to Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache.. it essentially gets rid of "lost fragments" and cleans up the Cache.. see if that fixes the issue for you.
Wipe Cache
1) Turn off the device.
2) Press and hold the Volume Up key and the spower button.
3) When the Android logo displays, release all keys.
4) Press the Volume down key to navigate and select "Wipe cache partition".
5) Press Power key to select. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Select Reboot System.
6) Press the Power key to restart the device.

Galaxy SWell, if you're still having overheating issues, something is wrong.
What temperature is the device reaching?
As I said, I have the same device, and no issues with overheating at all.
If it was my device, I'd probably Backup with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.

Galaxy SHi Амиp,
Have you tried the above steps to perform Wipe Cache partiton to reduce the heat.
Here are some additional steps you can take to address the heating problem:
1. Check Background Apps: Make sure that there are no excessive background apps running on your device, as they can contribute to increased heat generation. Close any unnecessary apps running in the background.
2. Update Software: Ensure that your device's software is up to date. Sometimes, software updates include bug fixes and optimizations that can improve device performance and reduce overheating.
3. Limit Intensive Tasks: Avoid using resource-intensive apps or performing tasks that put a heavy load on your device, such as gaming or streaming high-definition videos, for extended periods, as these activities can lead to increased heat generation.
4. Optimize Settings: Adjust your device's settings to optimize performance and reduce heat generation. For example, lower the screen brightness, disable features like Always On Display when not in use, and limit background data usage.
Also, we request you to share the log file. This will help us to further investigate and resolve this issue.
To attach the log file: Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).
Thank you.

Galaxy SI did wipe cache of the device, but it didn't help at all. Also, there is no background app active and no always on display, and I did send log files too.
