Bixby crashing

As soon as I hold the side button on my 3 day old s24 ultra, bixby pops up at the bottom screen and then immediately turns off. It worked before i updated the software so.....

I've already done the data and cache clearing in the settings>app>bixby voice. The apps only shows bixby voice and bixby vision. Not sure what else to do so bixby works again. Coming from iphone, im used to using voice for setting timers, reminders, calling and texting people. Would like to avoid reinstalling everything if possible as I already have my apps setup. Ideas?

Really the only other thing that I can think of at the moment.. there's another app that you have installed that is creating a conflict with Bixby 

Boot into Safe Mode & see if Bixby still crashes.. if not then that strongly suggests that a 3rd party app is causing the problem. 

You could always Factory Reset, but don't restore anything.. at least until you verify that Bixby is not crashing.

I tried safe mode and although bixby starts up, it seems to stall and the pop up windows doesn't want to close. And the voice prompts don't register.

Then I guess, backup your device with Smart Switch and Factory Reset.. BUT.. 

DO NOT Restore ANYTHING initially.. just check to see if Bixby is working properly first!

I don't really have much on it other than some photos. It's 3 days old. Can I do factory reset without a computer?

You can either Factory Reset by Booting into Recovery & Using the Volume Button, scroll down to Wipe Data Factory Reset & Select with the Power button, or Go to Settings & Search for "Reset" & Select "Factory Data Reset" from Settings.

You don't need a computer for this.

Well, if Samsung had competent support people they'd help you resolve the issue rather than rely on users to do the legwork.
