I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 SM-S911W and Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones. In Developer options all Audio Codecs are greyed out except SBC and AAC. The headphones are LDAC capable. How can I turn on that Codec?

Does your Headset support the greyed out options?

As soon as I connect my Jabra Elite Active Earbuds it switches to AAC

It should support LDAC as the Sony headphones do support LDAC

I'm just going by what it says.

Either the phone or the Earbuds / Headphones don't support the other codecs?

But I do remember someone else talking about something similar, that appears to have been removed.. I'm sure if it was exactly this though?

Hi, To enable LDAC support for your Sony headphones on your Samsung Galaxy S23, follow these steps:

1. Ensure your headphones are paired with your Galaxy S23.

2. Go to the "Settings"app on your phone.

3. Scroll down and select "Connections."

4. Tap on "Bluetooth."

5. Find your connected Sony headphones in the list and tap on the settings icon next to them.

6. Look for an option related to "Bluetooth audio codecs" or similar. This option might be located in an advanced settings section.

7. If LDAC is available, select it as the preferred audio codec.

Note: The availability of LDAC support may depend on your phone's Android version and Samsung's software. If LDAC is still not available, it might be due to limitations imposed by Samsung on certain devices.

If you can't find LDAC support in the Bluetooth settings, you may want to check for software updates on your Galaxy S23. Keep in mind that software updates might introduce new features or improve existing ones.

It's not found there, it's in Developer Options.

You need to have a headset / Earbuds connected to see other than SBC.

I can't test other than AAC, as that's what my Earbuds support.

But read the message on my screen shot at the bottom.
