Galaxy SAfter I updated to one ui8, i can't use my samsung wallet or google wallet to pay. My credit card works fine, and I have tried clear cache & data for the NFC app. I just don't want to reset my phone cuz I need to set up my microsoft authenticator again along with the rest and it was a nightmare.

Galaxy SWhat is the model number of your device, ie: SM-xxxxx?
Have you tried going to Settings > Apps & Search for Samsung Wallet & Click on it > Scroll down to Storage & Clear Both Cache & Data for the app & Reboot?
You'll need to set up Samsung Wallet again.
Same if you are using Google Wallet.

Galaxy SWe’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with Samsung Wallet payments following with the recent Update. To assist you further, we will proceed with a few troubleshooting steps to help resolve the problem and restore tap-to-pay functionality.
-
Clear Cache and Data for NFC and Samsung Wallet
-
Go to Settings > Apps > Show system apps.
-
Select NFC Service and Samsung Wallet, then tap Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.
-
Restart your device afterward.
-
-
Check NFC Settings
-
Navigate to Settings > Connections > NFC and contactless payments.
-
Ensure NFC is turned on and Samsung Wallet is selected as the default payment app.
-
-
Wipe Cache Partition from Recovery Mode
-
Power off your device.
-
Press and hold Volume Up + Power until the Samsung logo appears.
-
Use volume buttons to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition, then confirm with the Power button.
-
Reboot the device.
-
-
Update Samsung Wallet and System Software
-
Open Galaxy Store and Google Play Store to check for updates to Samsung Wallet.
-
Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to ensure your system is fully updated.
-
-
Remove and Re-add Your Cards
-
Open Samsung Wallet, remove your existing cards, and re-add them to refresh the payment credentials.
-
-
Try Google Wallet as an Alternative
-
Factory Reset (Last Resort)
-
If all else fails, back up your data and perform a factory reset via Settings > General Management > Reset > Factory Data Reset.
-
This can help eliminate lingering software conflicts introduced by the update.
-
If the issue persists, we recommend visiting a Samsung Experience Store for a hands-on diagnostic.
