After I updated to one ui8, i can't use my samsung wallet or google wallet to pay. My credit card works fine, and I have tried clear cache & data for the NFC app. I just don't want to reset my phone cuz I need to set up my microsoft authenticator again along with the rest and it was a nightmare.

Have you tried the search function on this site?

Try Booting into Recovery & Wipe Cache from Recovery.

See if that works for you?

Hi Will0716,

We’re sorry to hear that you are currently unable to use Samsung Wallet or Google Wallet for payments following the recent update. As you have already cleared the cache and data for the NFC app, we recommend proceeding with the next step: booting into Recovery Mode and performing a Wipe Cache Partition, as suggested by RedDogRebbit.

Please check if this resolves the issue. If you continue to experience difficulties, feel free to reach out to the community for further assistance.

We regret to hear that the issue persists despite your efforts in following the recommended steps. We kindly request you to try the alternative troubleshooting methods outlined below, which may help resolve the problem.

Check Google Wallet Security Status

  • If you're using Google Wallet, make sure your device meets Play Integrity requirements

  • Go to Play Store > Settings > Play Protect Certification and confirm your device is certified

  • Reset Network Settings

    • Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings

    • This can help resolve hidden connectivity issues

      Update All Apps

Ensure Samsung Wallet, Google Wallet, and Play Services are fully updated via Galaxy Store and Play Store

If the issue persists, We kindly request you to visit the nearest Samsung Service Center, where our service technician will be able to physically examine your device and address the issue accordingly.

If Resetting Network doesn't work, and before visiting a Samsung Service Centre, I'd probably Factory Reset. Backup your device with Smart Switch First.
