Hi,

I'm using Samsung s22 ultra more than a year. One day my phone started showing error message when I dial a number. Message was 'card is not regiater on the network' I don't exactly remember if that morning automatic software updates were installed. I perfomed below steps-
1. I checked if I can select network manually but was unsuccessful.
2. I started using card in my old iPhone.
3. Inserted my husband's card and it also did not work.
4. My husband has note 20 ultra and i inserted my card in to that phone and there was no issue.
5. I did not get time to go to the center and show the issue. I continued using card I. IPhone

One day samsung another software installation came and updated it. Curiosity inserted my same card and surprisingly it started working. I was able to make calls again from same phone. Now I was sure that issue was not related to device and it was software issue.
After just 3 -4 days later again same issue started. No software update was done that day.

Has someone faced same issue? What can be done ?

It sounds like a hardware issue with the SIM Tray, and it seems like it was just coincidence that the original SIM card started working again, but briefly.

You could try opening the Samsung Members app & Click on Support & run the Diagnostics for the SIM / SIM card tray. See you get any error messages.

You probably have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, because this seems to be a common problem. 📱

Why pay for the most expensive phone if it's the one that doesn't work? 💸🤷‍♂️

Hi, we appreciate your efforts in trying all the possible troubleshooting steps.

If you haven't tried to perform network reset on your device, please perform and see if it helps to solve the issue.

Go to Settings > Select General management > Select Reset > Select Reset network settings > Select Reset settings > Select Reset to confirm.

Please note that resetting network settings will also reset Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other network settings so make sure you take note of this information beforehand.

You can also try contacting your carrier if you continue to have issues with the SIM card.

If that doesn't work, we recommend you to visit the nearest Samsung authorized service center and get the device examined by the service technician, so that they will check the device to know the root cause of the issue and assist you accordingly.

Thank you.
