Galaxy SHi Samsung community! So I have had my S21 Ultra since September, and all has been well until a couple days ago. I noticed a slight change in my fast charging times becoming slower that usual to begin with, and now I am having the false moisture detected issue. It started out as an intermittent issue, but now its constant to where the notification cannot even be cleared from the notification bar. I have used different charging cables, cleaned out the port, even cleared the data from the USB app in settings and restarted my phone, and still nothing. I noticed it happening when I updated my phone to the February security patch.
Is anyone else having this issue?? Is there a fix for this or is my phone toast?? I don't mind wireless charging but its a LOT slower than USB charging!

Galaxy SHi, If your phone is receiving an error that says moisture has been detected but your phone has not been exposed to water, there are a few explanations.
- It is possible that there is a software error or bug. A security patch may solve the problem. Try checking your phone for the latest software.
- If you live in a humid environment, it is possible that there is moisture buildup inside the charging port. Shake your phone to remove any excess water, and then let it sit for 1 to 2 hours, so the water can naturally evaporate. If the error message does not go away, try very carefully to clean the charging port with a dry Q-tip.
- If you need to charge your phone right away, use a wireless charger. Wireless charging is not affected by moisture or foreign materials in the charging port. If your device supports wireless charging, you can try charging it that way. Make sure to thoroughly dry the device before placing it on the wireless charger.
Note: If the popup does not go away, your phone will require service.

Galaxy SYou can see if the Diagnostics on the Samsung Members app will find any issues with the USB Charging port on your device.
Samsung Members app > "Get Help" > Diagnostics & "Cable Charging" & "USB Connection".
You could also put your phone in a baggy half filled with uncooked rice, but if it's been gradually getting worse, I'm thinking that it's a hardware issue, either with the Charging?

Galaxy SI've been having the same problem for over a week now. At first it was intermittent, but now it's all the time, but only for the USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adaptor. I've cleaned out the adaptor (b/c the moisture detection fine print says debris as well). I noticed connection and fast charging were being weird so was worried that something might be wrong with the port. Did a search for update as suggested and it is still happening.

Galaxy SIf it's been a week, moisture is unlikely, unless you're in the tropics, but you could try filling a small baggy with UNCOOKED rice & leave the phone in it overnight.
If it's still a problem, Wiping Cache won't likely do anything to fix it, a Factory Reset *MIGHT*, but not likely.
Probably a visit to a Samsung Service center may be your best bet.

Galaxy SThey dont need to live in the tropics, vaping indoors or leaving your phone in the bathroom whilst showering. The usb port is ultra sensitive like a smoke detector.

Galaxy SDon't know if I'm just lucky, but I've never had the "moisture detected" issue on any device.
BTW, the material the USB port is made from, does not rust, or corrode from moisture.
