Hi Samsung community! So I have had my S21 Ultra since September, and all has been well until a couple days ago. I noticed a slight change in my fast charging times becoming slower that usual to begin with, and now I am having the false moisture detected issue. It started out as an intermittent issue, but now its constant to where the notification cannot even be cleared from the notification bar. I have used different charging cables, cleaned out the port, even cleared the data from the USB app in settings and restarted my phone, and still nothing. I noticed it happening when I updated my phone to the February security patch.
Is anyone else having this issue?? Is there a fix for this or is my phone toast?? I don't mind wireless charging but its a LOT slower than USB charging!
Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support > Diagnostics & View Tests >Run the Diagnostics for the USB port and see if you get any error messages.
Visually inspect the USB port for damage or debris.
Place everything in a baggy half filled with UNCOOKED rice overnight.
If you're using a 3rd party USB Type C Adapter, try with a Samsung Adapter.
If all else fails, you could visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech.
I have exactly the same problem with my S21 5g. It started a week ago. I also cleaned the port but nothing.
The charger charge the phone via usb-c well but when I plug in the Samsung usb-c jack adapter the moisture detection alert comes up and my earphone is not working at all.
I didn't find solution! But interesting after month of not using a phone one day i took it from drawer and connected to the cable and bang works fully charged phone but next day Water drop icon returns!
I do believe scam going on either Samsung or something fishi here!
