Galaxy SIs it possible to change the vibration pattern notification for different apps? When a new notification comes through I can’t tell if it’s a text message, email, Whatsapp etc. without looking at my phone. Other non-Samsung devices I’ve used have this function so it seems like it should be an option.
For example, a single short vibration for emails, 2 short vibration for texts, 3 short vibrations for Whatsapp etc. This is a pretty big drawback for me and not something I’d considered would be an issue.
Thank you!

Galaxy SI am shocked this was not built in to begin with.
I switched from an apple phone to Samsung because I felt so confined in Apple....while, Samsung has many nice features i was surprised that there is no central "notifications settings center" where user can override the app notification sounds ad vibrations with user selected sounds AND vibrations....perhaps adding a vibration creator (like apple) where user can design their own vibration too.
this is a common sense suggestion that should be fairly easy to code.

Galaxy SYou can go to Settings > Notifications and scroll to find the app(s) that you want to change the Notification Sound & Vibration for & change the Sound & Vibration for each one you want.

Galaxy SCountless complaints about this easy-to-fix issue have been all over Reddit, Samsung, and many other community boards for at least 3 years. So, what I'm getting from Samsung is, "Get bent, we really don't care about addressing this complaint. Maybe try iPhone." Okay, suggestion accepted. After 10 years with Samsung, next upgrade will be an iPhone. Well done Samsung.

Galaxy SThere's an app on the Play Store, that will allow you to set Custom Vibration patterns for different apps & contacts.
It's called BuzzKill.
This should be a solution to your wish.

Galaxy SAll my apps used to have different notification patterns, now only some of them do. Now, I have to take out my phone every time I have a system notification to see what it is. Even then, I can't always tell. This is extremely frustrating. I might as well get an iPhone where all the decisions about how the phone should work for me have already been made by corporate.
