During the night I set my phone in do not disturb mode, but I still receive notifications from WhatsApp, but I do not want that.

I only added 4 contacts to the call and messages list and have set app notifications to none, so that they can call me in case of emergency.

How can I set this right?

I activate the "Sleeping" program at the same time as "Do not disturb" and I am never disturbed by anything. In your first capture, "Sleeping" is not activated.

The sleeping part is for a schedule, meaning you can leave Do Not Disturb enabled without needing to turn it off or on. It does not enhance the feature. It simply turns it off or on so you do not need to set it every day. So, when you turn Sleeping on and off, you're doing the opposite of its intended use.

What the op might want to check is the Hide Notifications category located at the bottom of the photo. By default, not all notifications are disabled.

Perhaps i should rephrase that. The Sleeping option automates the Do Not Disturb process. It does not make Do Not Disturb operate any different other than not having to manually switch it on or off. You can rename it or make another mode called, "Lunch," and set a time for it, and it'll do nothing different if you were to manually turn dnd on and off during that time.

I have tested it!
Why does it work for me? Because I have a different model? (I have an A52 5G.) Because my phone has some kind of bug? Because I use a "Sleeping" program that I have added myself and configured from "Notifications" > "Do not disturb" (I did not take the one found in "Modes and routines")? Because the "Sleeping" program takes precedence over the rest? I don’t know the right answer, but I’m leaning towards the last proposal. What I know because I’ve experienced it is that with "Do not disturb" disabled and "Sleeping" enabled, I don’t get notifications while when "Do not disturb" is enabled but "Sleeping" is disabled, I get notifications. I tested it with a phone call.
You can try it yourself so you can contribute to the discussion...

You don’t lose much to try, except maybe a quiet night. Anyway, that’s already what you don’t get 😉
If my suggestion doesn’t work for you, you could try, first, to remove "Sleeping" and, second, to add it again. Doing this type of operation has already solved problems.
You could also try a "Wipe Cache Partition".
