Galaxy S
I switched to Google Messages on my phone as recommended by the Samsung Messages app, including setting it as the default Messages app. I checked to see if it (Google's) was used when switching my phone to Emergency mode for sending messages to emergency contacts with my location, however the phone seems to have Samsung Messages baked in for this as it was still used despite my switching to Google Messages.
Is it possible to switch the Messages app Emergency mode uses, or is it stuck with Samsung's?

Galaxy SHi Geoff,
By using Samsung Messages, Emergency Mode avoids potential issues caused by third-party app updates or compatibility changes.
Unfortunately, you cannot change the default Messages app used by Emergency Mode. Even if you set Google Messages as your default app for regular use, Emergency Mode will revert to Samsung Messages.
Thank you.
