External Microphone Issues

Since the last update, I can no longer use my external wired microphone on either my Galaxy S8 or my Tab A. Anyone have a fix? The microphone will work on Ipad mini and Iphone 5.

Try Booting into Recovery and Wipe Cache - If that doesn't work - I'd backup with Smart Switch & Factory Reset...

what kind of mic are you using?

Thank you @ShaggyskunkS9P for the helpful advice. If that still doesn't work, I recommend taking the device in the Samsung Service Center.
