Galaxy SI'm wondering if anyone else has the same issue with their S8.
I recently changed phone to a Galaxy S8 (from a S5). I never had problems sending videos through Messenger with the S5.
But since having the S8, every time I take a video and send it to my contacts through Messenger they can't view the video. They can see the thumbnail, but when they tap on it to start the video the screen becomes black, but the sound is playing fine.
I tried changing the video quality from UHD to QHD and then HD, but the problem is still there. And it doesn't matter if I take the video using the back or the front camera, all they see is a black screen.
The videos play well on my phone though (using Messenger, Gallery and Google Photos).
I cleaned the cache and uninstalled/reinstalled Messenger but it didn't fix the issue.
Any ideas what could cause this?

Galaxy SSame happens when I send videos via Messenger to other people (I sent different videos to 3 people and all of them get a black screen).

Galaxy SI'm having the same issue.i have tries all of the above and reinstalling the app and still unable to send a video on messenger without it turning black.only on messenger.but in my gallery it's perfectly fine.
Even when I just view the video via messenger before sending, it still blackens.
