Galaxy S
I've had my S7 for a month, and I've noticed while on 'selfie' mode the front facing camera doesn't focus very well. The auto-face detection will find my face but its not sharp at all. This seems to be a problem I see around the internet. I do not have any beauty settings or anything on either. It's obvious the auto-focus does not work properly. I had an S4 before this and the FFC was better than the S7. Even my mom's Galaxy J3 is sharper. It's very disappointing. Is this a defect or software fix?

A scratch or grime on the glass surface may cause the auto focus feature to focus incorrectly. Also check and see if the camera lens has a protective plastic on it like your screen did when removing the phone from the box. The camera hardware may be malfunctioning inside the device and may need to be repaired. Most phone providers will replace the device within the first 30 days of having the device.

No scratch, grime, or plastic covering the front facing camera.

I've had the same problem with my 1st S7, tried everything but the problem was still there. I know exactly what you mean. It looks like it's a hardware defect and nothing can be done so I replaced the device and it now works perfectly.
hope it helps

Can the camera be uninstalled and re-installed?
