Galaxy s10+ android 12 update disaster

Following update to android 12 on galaxy S10 + EVERY browser crashes on launch, settings app starts and then crashes, many other crashes. have done cache cleanup and app optimization. no changes.

Kneejerk response, would be to Backup your phone with Smart Switch & Factory Reset... If it's as messed up as you say.

Regardless if there's any issues or not, a Factory Reset after any Android version update is a good idea.. At least I've never had any issues by following my own advice.

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought of doing this while looking at the applicable screen but backed off. The cache cleanup plus optimization appeared to work at first for the settings app but that blew up after running for a few seconds. Successive attempts to use it threw instant crashes. Ditto trying to launch any browser Learned since my post that Google Play Store is also affected. Individual apps that crash seem to be random-many work and many don't. Hoping enough people might be affected to learn of either a known solution or perhaps get a bug fix before trying the nuclear option.

I have a S10 and am luckily not seeing any of your problems but echo RedDogRabbits suggestion of Factory Reset after doing a backup as the solution to your problems.

Hi, Welcome to the Samsung Members Community Canada. Can you confirm if you have tried over WIFI or mobile data?

Apps & Settings crashing, wouldn't have anything to do with whether it's WiFi or Data.
