I can't seem to find a definite answer, is anyone able to confirm if the Galaxy S20+ charges at 45 W? I understand the Ultra is able to charge at 45 W but from what I am reading everywhere the S20 and S20+ only charge at 25 W thus yes you can use the 45 Watt charger but not to its full potential on the S20+

Is there anyone who can confirm this?

Hi

Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+, both support 25W fast charging capabilities and on the other hand, the Galaxy S20 Ultra supports 45W fast charging.

The maximum charging power of the device is determined by the optimized value depending on the device's internal charging circuit and battery design. And, the power of the charger is determined with a margin to reliably support the device's maximum charging power.

The actual charging power of a device is less than the maximum output power( 25W or 45W) of charging with a margin. Also, the charging speed or efficiency may vary depending on the device's condition.

thank you so much for answering my questions @Kinsley. I like to have one charger for home and one for work. Since I am unable to purchase a 25 Watt charger seperatly, could I possibly purchase a 45 Watt charger and use that for my S20+? I am guessing though it will only charge my device at 25 Watts and not the fill 45 Watts?

Hey As of know 25w charger is not available on the Samsung website. Please try to check with the Samsung experience store or Authorized dealers.

so depending on how drained you battery is. it won't matter if you pay 50 plus dollars for an extra 10 minutes of charging time. when the programs and chip sets won't accept the power flow. save your money and just wait the time it takes to charge. you be better off buying a second battery if you need that much right away. there is also the option of a battery case.

thanks for your suggestion, I'm the type of person who only likes to use genuine or premium Samsung accessories. I use only Samsung OEM chargers, Samsung cases etc. I just like to have two chargers one for home one for work, so I was looking to buy a second charger for work, either a 25watt charger which they do not sell or the 45watt charger
