Galaxy SNot very good advertizement for Samsung due to Samsung not standing behind their products
I feel for you but unfortunately no one here can help other than agree it is wrong.

Galaxy SA similar thing happened to me. I have/had a s20 5g unlocked, had occasional charging issues from the start like 100% to 0% issues but not very reproducible. I wish I had reported this early on.
Well come mid summer, the phone just died. Did the same process of battery repair and then being told the motherboard is dead. Sent it into Samsung and they wanted me to fork over another 350-400 for a new motherboard. Mind you this is about 10 months after I bought the phone, still under warranty. They claimed that I damaged a chip inside and therefore voided my warranty. They refused to tell me what chip, or how it was damaged. And they told me something like the issue is covered under warranty but the other issue is not and therefore I have to pay to fix the other issue.
I tried for weeks. Here's the kick though. I never dropped my phone, I didn't get it wet, I took quite good care, case from day one and considering it was mostly pandemic stay at home I rarely used it outside of the house. I refused to pay another 350-400 on a phone I had already paid almost $1000 for. I found a good Reddit post describing this as a common occurrence with cell phone companies. You have a warranty, but they try and find something to get out of it. I decided at that point I was no longer going to pay a premium or get another Samsung device. $300-400 for Samsung is pocket change, for a consumer that's alot. Especially since I had spent in the thousands on devices from them in the past. I ended up getting a phone from one of their competitors and am quite happy so far.

Galaxy SSame thing here... My phone stopped charging and was dead from one day to another. I brought it to Samsung Customer Support service, and they told me the main board was defect. Repairs: 200euros over new price of the phone.
I am very disappointed, since Samsung advertise for sustainability and easy repair possibilities. I am 2 months over Warranty, the phone is spotless, still no alternatives were suggested.
I have a Samsung since the first galaxy, and had no issues. But now I refuse to pay that amount and I am seriously thinking about buying a Sony...
It is just a shame
