Galaxy SDon't know what you did, but your photos should still be in Samsung's Gallery.
It sounds like you denied permission to Samsung's Gallery to access your photos.
Go to Settings > Apps Search for "Gallery" & Click on it & check permissions.
Any Gallery, be it Samsung's, Google's or any other gallery, is essentially just a viewer.
You should be able to just Uninstall Google's Gallery, and your photos should still be on your device.
Download another gallery from the Play Store, ie: F-Stop Gallery (which is what I use), and your photos will be there.

Galaxy SI looked in MY FILES and see all my folders and pic under DCIM .
Is it possible to move them to gallery? If so, how? Don't see any gallery folder in My Files.
I'm leaning towards finding a way to get back all pic/ folders before Uninstalling Google photo.
Btw, i don't use any cloud services .... that is google, MS, Samsung etc, so nothing on the web

Galaxy SOkay, try this:
- Go to Settings > Apps & Search for "Gallery", Click on it & then tap where it says "Set as Default".
- I'm guessing that you accidentally set the Google Gallery as default 🤔

Galaxy SYou can take a screenshot in several different ways.
Click BOTH the Power button & Volume DOWN.. SIMULTANEOUSLY & QUICKLY and release at the same time.
Palm Swipe to Capture the screen. Settings > Advanced Features.
3rd party app from the Play Store.
I think that you can even use Bixby to take a screenshot.
