Happy New Year all.
I'm in need of a way to recover all of my personal emails. Right now what I'm receiving are not the personal and important, such as appointments and the odd family that I usually get.
Everything coming in are job offers or promotions.
I've tried everything from deleting some emails and pictures hoping that clearing storage room would restore those missing emails.
I would truly appreciate any advice to help me solve this pesky problem.

Regards.

Open Gmail & Click on the 3 Dot / Bar menu top left.

You should then see the following

Click on All Inboxes if you have more than one email address.

Then Click on All Mail, see if your missing emails are there. If not, you can check in the Spam & Trash folders.

If they are not there, then they are likely gone for good.

I've never received some. For instance, yesterday January the 31st, I got a call concerning a referral while waiting for a drink at Starbucks. The receptionist had my email address and I told her to send me the details and I would confirm that I had received it, but it never came. These emails have to be here somewhere, perhaps my antivirus has something to do with this.

Did you check the Spam folder?

I have never, ever used any anti-virus software, and that goes all the way back to when we could Root our devices.

Android is not the same as Windows, and viruses almost always require the user to allow access, whether it's opening a link, or downloading something.

It's possible that your antivirus software may be blocking emails, try Uninstalling it and see.

The primary risk comes from "sideloading" apps (installing from third-party sources), clicking suspicious links, or malicious ads.

Thank you. I went through every folder and then went through every setting. On one page it explained how my important emails weren't syncing but I couldn't find a way to turn it on.

Open Gmail & Click on the 3 Dot / Bar menu > Scroll down to Settings & Then click on an account > Scroll down until you see "Sync". Make sure that it's Checked Select the number of days you want it to Sync.. If you're missing emails for more than 30 days (which is the default), change it to the number of days you want to Sync.

Thank you to RedDogRabbit and the rest of the community. I believe that I have found the problem.
I restored and backed up all of the information. Today a my mobile providers monthly bill made it into my primary folder. The first one and hopefully many more.
Once again let's hope that this works.

Happy 2026 to everyone and their families ❤
