I'm having trouble pairing the onstar guardian app with onstar itself. I have onstar working on it, just curious to see if it might be an issue with my phone. When I sign in to the guardian app it wants me to send them my phone number, then they are supposed to send me a 4 digit verification code to my phone, but after many failed attempts it will not send me a code. Could the issue be with my phone? I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra, Android version 12. Can you help? Thanks.
I just tried setting the Guardian app up with my onstar and it worked like it is supposed to with my S22
Are you positive you are putting in the phone number registered with your device as that is the only reason I can see it might not work for you and the code comes as a text message so are you looking in text messages for the code
Um, yes. Seeing as I've entered the phone number a dozen times already lol. Also have confirmed it with onstar 3 or 4 times. And no, I get no text messages with a code. It dies not send one. Beyond all doubt that the phone number is correct.
Yes I've done it all. Many times over. I've been over and over it with onstar. They have never heard of this happening, it's got them stumped as well. They're calling me again tomorrow, after their system engineers have checked it out. They're not sure what to do, since they've never encountered this problem before. Strange.
