Thanks in advance 🙂

I'm with koodo too so I know exactly what going on. Sign onto your koodo account, Go to manage plans and add ons then scroll down til you see call control option. Then you'll be able to turn it on and off

As far as I can tell, she said she called me and to actually get to speak with me, she had to enter the number my phone gave her. She said call control but I can't find it anywhere in settings

Hi, just to confirm is it happening for every call ?

I request you to please perform these below steps once and check the issue again.

If your phone is misbehaving, it is possible that a third-party app is causing the issue.

To figure out which app is acting funny, you can use the Safe Mode feature.

In Safe Mode, your phone will not run any third-party apps.

This allows you to easily identify and remove the app that may be causing the problem.

To enter Safe Mode, please perform the following:

First, completely power off the phone. Then, power on the phone and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold down the Volume down key.

If done correctly, "Safe Mode" will display on the bottom left corner of the screen.

If "Safe Mode" does not appear, repeat the steps above.

Once you are in Safe Mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues on your phone.

To exit Safe Mode, simply restart your phone and it will reboot normally.

Important: When you exit Safe Mode, some of your customization options (wallpapers, themes, etc.) may be reset to default.

Hi Helena
Will the 3rd party app be obvious to see. How will I know it to delete it. Thank you so much for your assistance

Safe Mode will only disable 3rd party apps, it won't tell you which 3rd party app(s) may be responsible.

You'd have to uninstall apps one by one to figure out which one is the issue.

In other words, there's no way to know which one is the cause.

It sounds like there's a malicious app installed, and possibly even on your daughter's phone, that is trying to force you / her to dial this other number to make money..

If it's only when your daughter calls your phone, then that would indicate that your phone is the problem.

If it were my phone, and the app responsible wasn't easy / obvious, I'd probably Factory Reset the device.

I'd backup first with Smart Switch, but I wouldn't restore any unknown apps.

"Free" apps are the most likely culprits for this kind of thing. "free" apps make money from advertising (there are some Free apps that are actually legitimate & free without any advertising).

Some of these "free" apps also include popup advertising, and some of these popups can say things like "virus detected, click ok to clean". If you Click "OK", you are actually giving the app permission to install software, and usually it is nefarious in nature.

Good luck 🤞🏻
