Just putting this out here looking for some tips. I've been either almost using all of my data or exceeding my data usage for the last few months.
I find most of it is Facebook, Google & Email when I check my data usage on my phone. I've turned off my Auto sync on my email to only check it when i manually go in and refresh it. Facebook I've shut off the auto play for video, and for Google I did nothing because im not quite sure what to do to save data or turn off things there. I use my phone for work so I do use it pretty much all day.
Does anyone have some tips? When I am home I now turn off my data but i hate doing that because I dont recieve photos through text when they are sent to me.
Another question is would turning off location be helpful to slow down my data usage?
Any other little tips would be great!

As @RichMan stated, turn on data saver but also for exceeding your limit you should turn on the data warning and the hard cap so that once you've used a certain amount of data your phone will warn you and if you hit the data cap then it will automatically shut off your data so that you don't exceed it. To do this head over to your device settings- connections- data usage- billing cycle and data warning and then set your billing cycle, turn on data warning and data limit and then just tweak it to your data plan.
Also, if you open up chrome and going into settings, there's an option for Google's own Data Saver option that you could turn on 😊

samsung helpline also advised me to switch off wifi and blue tooth while i sleep but my phone is plugged in while i sleep so that doesnt matter in my case. bluetooth should be switched off unless u need it or that will waste energy too.
