In March 7th, 2023 I got my new S23 ultra, and I wrote a complaint about the missing of offline radio feature (All my old phones like nokia 2000 till 2020 has offline radio, just by connecting a wired headphone). But now, samsung only supports radio online (you need to keep data on to enjoy radio).
What is I am living in the Northern part of Canada and there is no data, I need to listen to radio normally instead of carrying extra radio device.
@Almed_Nasr, I am afraid of that new phone makers no longer support the offline radio after 5g being supported due to mobile data is not expensive anymore. And I am sorry about your situation of no mobile data service over there.
5G is awesome and works great right up to the point the cell service is taken out by the hurricane so epic fail for taking it out! This is where you hang your head as your phone is no longer an emergency device.
Samsung always boasts that they are "working to bring the end user the best experience", yet they keep cutting features that users want such as offline radio, external memory card, headphone jack, etc. They have great engineering but terrible marketing, product management, and customer support.
