Hi, my phone half-downloaded the OneUI 3 update. I paused the download; I can see the update is light on new features but heavy on tiny adjustments to my workflow when I'd just gotten used to this phone, so I don't want it. However, I now have an undismissable update notification. I can't hide it or delete the half update file.

Is there any way to fix this without root? I tried deleting SW Update cache and system cache.

Via adb (from laptop) I was able to disable the update package which finally worked for me to get rid of the update notification:
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.wssyncmldm

Before that I also disabled auto download of updates and install (via developer settings).

Just wanted to give props to Hollam -- that adb command did the trick for me. I was shocked that it simply worked.

To the "yOu nEeD To sTaY Up tO DaTe fOr aLl tHe sEcUrItY" clowns -- LOL, no. Enjoy your handicapped phones.
