is "Chat" similar to iMessage

Hey, I'm curious to know, I'm with Telus and so I do not get the "Chat" service for my s10+

But for the people who have it? How is it? Is the feature really up to the hype? Is it useful?

It uses a protocol called RCS. While it has many similarities to iMessage, it is still a completely separate system. Since it is different, sending messages to people with iPhones will just get messages as regular texts.

Chat is great. I use it and it's just great. Read status, files up to 150MB, uncompressed pictures, faster reception, works over WiFi. It's everything other messaging service does, but even better.
