I have an S21 and an older 2014 KIA Optima. The Jan security update on the phone seems to have broken the Bluetooth phone connectivity to the Kia. Impairing and repairing doesn't seem to help. I will pair it and then it loses the ability call/use the phone but streaming audio is still fine.

Anyone else heard of this or know how to fix it?

Try Resetting Network Settings FIRST & Pair Bluetooth with your car again.

I've removed /unpaired the phone. Is that what you mean by reset the network connection or something else?

Not exactly.

Go to Settings > & Search for "Reset" & Select Reset WiFi & Bluetooth Settings.

Reboot & Pair with your car again.

*You'll need to know your WiFi Password for WiFi.

That did the trick. Seems to be stable now.
