Galaxy SFor LockScreen Notifications, your choices are Cards, Icons or Dots.
You might be able to change the Notifications on a per app basis using Categories for individual apps.

Galaxy SHi Withoutrules,
Thank you for sharing your concern. Based on your description, it appears that a recent update has changed how notification privacy settings behave on your device—specifically, the “Hide content” option now conceals both the message preview and the sender’s name, which was not the case previously.
Understanding the Change
-
Previous behavior: You could view the sender’s name while hiding the message preview on the lock screen.
-
Current behavior: Enabling “Hide content” now hides both the sender’s name and the message preview, reducing visibility more than intended.
This change is a part of a broader privacy enhancement introduced in the latest One UI update, but it understandably limits your control over how notifications appear.
However, we kindly request you to try the following alternative steps to help resolve the issue.
-
Use “Notification categories”
-
Go to Settings > Apps > [Messaging App] > Notifications.
-
Tap on individual notification categories (e.g., Message alerts) and adjust visibility settings to show sender only.
-
-
Enable “Do Not Disturb” with exceptions
-
This allows you to suppress message previews while still receiving sender alerts from selected apps or contacts.
-
-
Check Lock Screen Settings
-
Navigate to Settings > Lock Screen > Notifications.
-
Try toggling between “Icons only” and “Details” to see if sender info can be retained without preview text.
-
-
Submit Feedback via Samsung Members App
-
If this change disrupts your workflow, consider submitting an error report or feature request to Samsung for more granular control.
-
We understand how important it is to maintain both privacy and awareness, and we hope future updates will restore or improve this functionality.

Galaxy SIt’s extremely frustrating that the option to show only the sender’s name was removed in the recent update. Previously, it worked perfectly — I could see where the notification came from and who it was from, without exposing the message content. Now, the only options are to either hide all notifications entirely or display full message previews, which is a serious privacy concern, especially during meetings.
This change is unnecessary and inconvenient. There should absolutely be an option to toggle this feature on or off, as it was before.
I've tried your way and it did not work! it's still hiding the sender's name the only option I have is to turn it on but that shows the previous message and that is what I'm trying to avoid this update was the most ridiculous update ever for this option
