Lock screen to dark & Icons small

Since the last update Screen apps have changed, lock screen goes unreadably dark, only two analog clock dials, icons very small and same colour.
I rely on lock screen to tell me the time and the icons to identify what's happening.
As things are the phone is unusable unless  I pick it up and switch on.

Tried all the settings and online help, but nothing - can't fix it. - Help

My always on display changed with latest UI 6.1 update and unable to find settings to change it back

Hi, please try the following instructions, so that your icons should be back to their original state.

Navigate to settings > Click wallpaper and style > Select color palette > And then switch 'apply to app icons' to off > Then press apply.

Please adjust the brightness and turn the auto brightness on and off on and see if the lock screen is back like before.
