So I've previously stopped using the Samsung messages app, as it didn't previously provide me the RCs capability of Google messages. I've noticed there's been an update since the one UI 4.0, which allows read receipts delivered notifications etc etc etc. So it gives more features similar to Google messages. However, I attempted to convert back to Samsung messages, and I can send messages out I don't receive notification whether it's been sent or received by anybody else using Google messages, and the biggest issue is I can't receive messages. Does anybody else experience this? I can handle the RCs not working, but I'm not sure why messages don't receive.

Have you upgrade to Android12 recently? Try wipe cache partition from recovery mode if you have not done this yet.

I am using Samsung Messages and on OneUI4, I am ok with the app. Also, is your carrier support RCS?

0 I have actually cleared the cash and the data for the application itself, and I did find a workaround. That being said, changing to my network carrier opposed to automatic is only a partial fix. My carrier does allow rcs, and I'm able to utilize RCS easily with the Google messages application itself but not the Samsung messages. It's a little strange. I was actually going to go down to the Samsung experience store near me, and see what they can tell me.

Hi SireChubaka, have you turned on “send read receipt” option on your messaging app settings? If not here are the steps how to activate it.
From home screen tap the Message icon > Tap Menu > Settings > Chat settings > select Send read receipt.
Note: You will be able to see Read Receipts only if the receiver also has turned on the Read Receipts
If you still have any issues even after visiting to Samsung Experience store, we suggest you to generate error report. Please generate error reports by following below steps
Tap and hold on samsung Members Icon and tap on Error report >> select the category from the below >> Describe the issue and check the option "send system log data" then send.

Actually, Samsung Messages uses "Advanced Messaging" which is quite similar but not the same as RCS Messaging. Advanced Messaging requires both ends to use Samsung Messages, while RCS requires both ends to use Google Messages.
