Microphone disappeared in Mail and texting

My microphone has recently disappeared from my Mail app and my texting app. I'm wondering if I have accidently turned it off somewhere. It does still work on Android Auto

Please do follow the steps to enable microphone on the keyboard.

Scroll down to find Language and input, then tap it > Check the box in the left side of Google voice typing to enable this option > Enable this option will make the Mic button available on your Samsung keyboard.

I dont seem to have Language and Input in my settings?

I did find it under Google Voice Typing. The switch was already on, so I rebooted my phone. Still not there. The AI symbol is where the microphone was a few weeks ago
