While I was in Korea I bought a Galaxy S24+ from the Samsung store. I am now in Canada and the voicemail feature does not work.

There are no voicemail settings in the phone app and I don't get any notifications when I get a new voicemail. The only way for me to check is to manually call my voicemail and see if there are any messages.

Is there any fix for this problem? It's the only thing I don't like about the phone.

I already spoke to my carrier and I confirmed that the voicemail feature does work on my other Galaxy devices using the same sim card.

Contact your Carrier, they are the ones responsible for Voice Mail.

I spoke to my carrier and we managed to confirm that they have things set up correctly on their end. As soon as I switch my sim card to another Galaxy phone the voice mail feature works normally.

What happens when you Long Press on the number "1" on your phone Dialer?

Does your Carrier know that it's a Korean phone?

Which Carrier?

Nothing happens when I long press 1. It just says no number is saved on the quick dial. I did mention that it's a korean phone. The other galaxy i tested it on was bought in Canada. Carrier is telus.

If nothing happens when you Long Press on the number "1", that means that Voice Mail isn't set up on your device.

Open the Dialer & Click on Settings >Scroll down to Voice Mail & Click on it.. is there anything there, ie: the Voice Mail number for Telus?

Hi eklee,

Sorry to hear this issue from you and appreciate your efforts. Since voicemail works on your other Galaxy devices but not on your Korean Galaxy S24+, it's likely due to the Korean firmware which may not fully support voicemail features for Canadian carriers.

Try downloading the TELUS Voicemail app from the Google Play Store. If it installs and  works, use it instead of the built-in voicemail.

Thank you.

There's no telus voicemail app in the play store that I can see. I hope that the firmware for all devices is reworked so that voice mail works in every country, regardless of where the device was purchased.

Hi, I was wondering how you are still able to listen to the voicemails because I also have the same problem. I bought my phone in Korea but I can't figure out how to access the voicemails. How did you manually call the voicemail? What number did you dial?
