Samsung's One UI 7 (Android 15) update has been an absolute mess. First, there were 3 beta versions, and then the beta program closed. The Galaxy S25 launched, and Samsung claimed they were still working on the update. Then, out of nowhere, they decided they wanted a Beta 4. Now, they’re talking about Beta 5 and even Beta 6 before a stable release.

At this rate, Samsung will release Android 15 when Google is already launching Android 16. What’s the point of running a beta program if it just keeps getting extended?

I’ve been patient, but this is seriously making me consider switching to Google. At least Pixel users get updates on time without all this unnecessary delay.

If you switch to Google you won't have half the customization Samsung has(good lock, OneUI). Samsung don't care if they lose a few customers. Their dedicated customers (like myself) will always support them.

I get that Samsung has more customization with Good Lock and One UI, and I do appreciate that. But at what cost? If major updates are going to take this long, what’s the point? Google's Pixel devices might not have as much customization, but at least they get timely updates without this endless beta cycle.

And sure, Samsung might not care about losing a few customers, but that doesn’t mean we should just accept whatever they do.

That plus google is historically proven to be unreliable with their dedication to projects.

They are worried about perception of this.

They aren't invincible.

And no, most people wont go down with a sinking ship.

Maybe but Google use their own AI they don't steal it from apple Samsung is always been sloppy instead of finishing their project they start a other project that they will never finish and get a new phone out they should finish what they start before selling a new model

People don't care about customization Samsung they want a smart phone with AI and good camera having customized flowers and heart floating on notification is far to be important

As an S25 Ultra user... I can say that One UI 7 is not exactly ready. Yeah it's cool, but there are little bugs that are just annoying.

For example, using the filter notification feature to group/minimize the silent notification makes it disappear randomly and come back.

Using home up to customize my task changer makes the phone go crazy. Everytime I swipe up and hold to get into the task changer, it disappears and goes to home screen. Swiping up and holding again afterwards finally brings up the task changer. So I have to swipe and hold twice.

There is nothing wrong with your phone on One UI 6. There are still annoying bugs with one UI 7. So just be happy they are taking the time to run beta tests to fix stuff before stable release.
