Galaxy SA major privacy flaw was found where Stories automatically generated by the Gallery app from within the Secure Folder could show up outside of it, potentially exposing private photos and videos.
Devices impacted include the Galaxy S24 series, Z Flip6, Z Fold6, and possibly future models like the Galaxy S25.
The One UI 7 update started rolling out globally on April 7, beginning with the Galaxy S24 series and foldables. However, after the issue was identified, Samsung pulled the update and replaced it with previous firmware builds to prevent further problems.
- Open the Gallery app inside Secure Folder
- Tap the Menu button
- Go to Settings
- Toggle off “Auto create stories"
Samsung hasn’t announced when the rollout will resume, but a fix is likely being developed. If you’ve already updated to One UI 7, keep an eye out for a security patch.

Galaxy SIf you're going to cut & paste from a link, it's always a good idea to post the actual link 😉
Secure Folder issues is just one of the reasons why Samsung has halted the One UI V7.0 update, other users reply not being able to unlock their devices after the One UI V7.0 update. Initially it was thought to be related to SwiftKey, but that isn't clear now.
