I have a Galaxy 22 plus running the latest software.I have a question, please: what does this setting do exactly? Does it block any number except for my contacts already stored in the phone book?

Hi TibF,

The "Block calls from unknown numbers" setting on your Galaxy S22 Plus is designed to block calls from unknown or private numbers those where the caller has intentionally hidden their number, such as "No Caller ID" or "Unknown Caller." It does not block calls from numbers that are not saved in your contacts unless the number is classified as "private" or "unknown" by the network.

These are calls where the caller ID is not displayed, often showing as "Unknown" or "No Caller ID."

Thank you.
